Professor Yeo Tiong Min is Yong Pung How Chair Professor of Law at Singapore Management University (SMU) and former Dean of the School of Law at SMU. He has been the Asian Business Law Institute’s Academic Director since July 2017. In this role, Professor Yeo provides direction and oversight of ABLI’s research projects and establishes high-level stakeholder relationships between ABLI and academic universities and research institutions.
Professor Yeo is Professorial Fellow at the Singapore Institute of Legal Education, and a member of the Senate and of various committees of the Singapore Academy of Law.
His areas of research and expertise are Asian and Comparative legal systems, Public International Law, Regional and Trade Law, Dispute Resolution and private international law, as well as Private Law (Equity, Restitution, Contract, Remedies).
Professor Yeo holds a B.C.L. (1992) and D.Phil. (2002) from the University of Oxford, and LL.B., National University of Singapore, 1990. He is a qualified Advocate and Solicitor, and Honorary Senior Counsel (Singapore).
