Mr. Stephen J. Brogan
Steve Brogan has been Managing Partner of Jones Day since 2002. Before that, he was the Partner‑in‑Charge of the Firm’s Washington office from 1989 ‑ 2002. He became a partner in 1984, having started with the Firm while he was still a law student. He was a Deputy Assistant Attorney General at the U.S. Department of Justice from 1981 ‑ 1983. He has represented hundreds of the Firm’s clients on matters including corporate governance, contested takeovers, grand jury, SEC and congressional investigations, product liability and overseas bribery. He is a 1974 graduate of Boston College and a 1977 Graduate of the Notre Dame Law School where he was Executive Editor of the Law. He has been married for 41 years and he and his wife, Mary, have six children. He serves on the Board of Trustees of The University of Notre Dame, where he is Chair of the University Committee on Academic and Faculty Affairs. He also serves on the Board of Trustees of The Cleveland Clinic.
